Many thanks to Ms. Nabila and everyone at Gourmet Basket in McLean for donating three $100 gift certificates to this year's raffle! Lil' Sparky also wanted to thank Ms. Nabila for the hug, but she's wondering if next time she can have a hug and some yummy baklava too?

Local businesswoman Virginia Kennedy of the Preppy Pink Pony is giving Lil' Sparky a kiss after kindly donating a $52 VA Scout bag to our annual raffle. This is the store's second year participating in the raffle. Thank you, Virginia, but Lil' Sparky should be kissing you!

Our Volunteers are continually learning, practicing, and then practicing some more in order to bring the highest quality emergency medical care to our community. On Monday evening, training on Abdominal Emergencies, and when to have a higher level of suspicion, was led by Dr. Jon Solomon. Thanks to McLean VFD’s training officer, Laura Calkins, for organizing this valuable session.

Lil' Sparky is giving a high five to Malia, the Center Director at the Mathnasium in the McLean Quadrangle, after Malia helped Sparky with her math homework. The Mathnasium generously donated a $450 one-month kid's membership to our annual raffle. Sparky says that's like 3,000 in dog years!

McLean VFD offers its sincerest thanks to the Woman’s Club of McLean for its generous support that helped us purchase a new fire engine. Our current engine went into service in 2014, and we are looking forward to the arrival of the new state-of-the-art engine in the next few months, all part of our effort to continually improve our capability to serve our community.

McLean VFD offers its sincerest thanks to McLean Community Foundation for its $25,000 donation to help purchase a new fire engine, our first new engine in 12 years. MCF gave its first grant to MVFD in 1981, and has been an AMAZING support of ours over the years. Our current engine went into service in 2014, and we are looking forward to the arrival of the new state-of-the-art engine in the next few months, all part of our effort to continually improve our capability to serve our community.
