🎣🦆 COMBAT VETERANS — JOIN US FOR A FALL ADVENTURE!

Looking for a weekend to get outdoors, enjoy some hunting and fishing, and connect with fellow veterans? We have a spot for you!

Join us for our Veteran Fall Hunting & Fishing Adventure!

📍 Holbrook Farms – Detroit Lakes, MN
⏰ Kickoff around 4:00 PM on September 17

The weekend will include:
🎣 Guided fishing
🦆 Pheasant hunting at McCollum Hunting Preserve
🔥 Time around the campfire
Plenty of camaraderie and time to connect with fellow combat veterans

This adventure is open to male combat veterans.

For the pheasant hunt, veterans will be walking through tall grass, so please dress accordingly.

There is some confusion about which scholarships and contests "belong" to which organization, so we've created this quick, handy guide to help keep it all straight!

On Saturday, September 12, we will gather at the National Infantry Museum for the 2026 Global War on Terrorism Memorial Rededication.

This annual ceremony is about one thing: remembering.
This year, 29 new names will be added to the GWOT Memorial, ensuring their service and sacrifice will forever be remembered.

We invite our community, veterans, service members and families to join us as we honor the fallen and stand in support of our Gold Star Families.

Our allies needed our help.
We answered with strength, courage, and leadership.
Together with our coalition partners, we liberated Kuwait—but victory came at a great cost.
May the world never forget this historic achievement or the men and women who made it possible.

On August 2, 1990, Iraq invaded Kuwait, fully occupying the country within 24 hours. Iraq's brutal dictator then set his sights on Saudi Arabia.

In response, President George H.W. Bush launched Operation Desert Shield on August 7, 1990, to deter and contain potential Iraqi attacks against neighboring countries. Operation Desert Shield was far more than a buildup to Operation Desert Storm—it was a critical military operation that protected Saudi Arabia and other nations in the region from further Iraqi aggression.

To ensure that the service and sacrifice of America's Desert Shield and Desert Storm veterans are remembered for generations to come, the Desert Shield and Desert Storm Memorial is now under construction at the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
