Update: The juveniles have been identified and will be prosecuted. Thank you everyone for your help.

Another set of Juveniles broke into the old King School. This time they broke a window on a door and got into the building. If you can recognize these juveniles, contact McMechen PD. Thank you.

Update: The males have been identified. Thank you everyone for your help.

The city of McMechen tries to keep the Riverfront Park clean and available for everyone to enjoy. The city has bought fake coyotes to try and keep the geese out of the area. These people were at the park on 6-13 at around 7 pm. The male in the orange Texas shirt and the male in the black sleeveless shirt stole 2 of these coyotes from the park. If you have information of the 2 males, please give the station a call.

These juveniles were witnessed coming out of the old King School that is private property. If you recognized your juveniles please call the department. A few items were taken from the property.

A blue Motorola cellphone was found near 10th St and Caldwell St. It is here at the police station.

McMechen PD is proud to present Ptlm. Handzus. He just graduated the West Virginia State Police Academy. He will make a great addition to keep the City of McMechen safe. There are now 4 full time officers to protect the city.

McMechen Police Department is proud to present Patrolman Ryan Novick and Patrolman Kolbee Cecil. These 2 fine men just graduated the West Virginia State Police Academy and are now certified policemen. They will be a great addition to keep the city of McMechen safe.
