The Historic John Hubbard House was first recorded by the city of McMinnville in 1910, However the construction era is about 1870's. The home is a Class C Historic Home, so no special permits are needed for remodeling. This home features 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bath, and is 2,374 square feet, on a 6,000 square foot lot. The fourth bedroom has it's own entrance, and a half bath. The John Hubbard House is a

lso zoned multi-family and both residential and commercial. This makes it possible to turn the fourth bedroom into an apartment, or home business space. You will enjoy living in this beautiful historic neighborhood and all that downtown McMinnville has to offer!

Winter at the John Hubbard house means waking every 2 hours to keep the wood stove burning. Funny, it doesn't feel like a chore at all. There is pleasure in truely feeling the seasons.

What is your definition of home? Is it the people, the memories, the stuff that fills it? I have moved so much in my life, but have now been here at the John Hubbard house for the longest ever. Yes, this is my physical home, but it isn't until it is filled with the people I love until it feels like my true home.

Now that our home is off the market, I have decided to keep this FB page up and going as a living record of our journey with this house. As of right now, we are going to spend the next three years here, and hope to at least remodel the kitchen, paint the front of the house, and put up a new fence. I would also like to remodel the downstairs bathroom, and the stairwell, and the upstairs shower stall, as well as get new doors and crown molding upstairs, but these projects aren't deemed "necessary," as the first ones are. Please keep in touch as we learn and grow with our house!
