I Belong: Jose, JB Landscape & Maintenance Services
For Jose, owning a business has never been just about building a successful company.
It’s about building a stronger community along the way.
For 20 years, JB Landscape & Maintenance Services has served McMinnville with everything from lawn maintenance and irrigation to water features, retaining walls, patios, fencing, and much more.
But some of Jose’s most meaningful growth has happened through the relationships he’s built as a member of the McMinnville Area Chamber of Commerce.
"I originally joined the Chamber with the intent of getting to know the businesses around town, making connections, and finding ways I could make a difference as a business owner in our community."
What he discovered was that Chamber membership could become much more than a way to grow his professional network.
"Being a business owner is not just operating a business. You get to meet amazing people along the way who are not just great business connections, but people you get to know on a personal level as well."
Today, Jose is an active Chamber leader, serving on the Board of Directors and Chamber committees and working alongside other local leaders who share his commitment to McMinnville.
Those relationships have become one of the greatest benefits of his membership.
Whether he’s attending a Chamber meeting or simply having breakfast or dinner around town, Jose regularly encounters people he’s met through his involvement in our business community.
For him, those moments represent something important.
They’re evidence of a community where business owners know one another, support one another, and work together toward something bigger than their individual businesses.
