Don't forget to turn in your student's Kindergarten Registration form to the PRE-K office... not the elementary school. All of your child's information will be sent over to TCES with the kindergarten registration form. If you did not pick up your child's personal items during packet pickup, you did not get a registration form.

Parents and Guardians,
We don't want our Pre-K students to fall behind before they get to Kindergarten. I have requested access to Starfall for our students. Starfall is a wonderful website filled with letters, numbers, colors, shapes, stories, etc. Each access code is good for 4 months and families can use on the home computer, tablet or phone. If you would like an access code, please message our Pre-K page and I will respond with the directions and a one time access code for your child.
Let's keep the learning going!!
Governor Kemp has extended the closure of our schools for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. We are very sad about this news. We miss our PreK students very much!! 💔
We will be in touch with you soon about information in regards to the remainder of the school year. (Packet information, picking up personal belongings, etc).
Please give your kid a hug from all of us at PreK. 💙

On Thursday, Governor Kemp addressed the state’s growing COVID-19 concerns by allowing school districts to close for up to 14 days in order to slow the possible spread of COVID-19. After careful consideration, the Telfair County School District has decided to close our schools effective Monday, March 16, through Friday, March 27, 2020. Given the uncertainty of the rapidly changing situation with COVID-19, we believe this is the best course of action for protecting our students, staff, faculty members, and community. Our district remains focused on our community’s health and safety. We will provide updates through our websites, social media pages, and automated calling system. Parents and students should check the school websites and social media after 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16, for further directions on assignments during the school closure. In addition, you may call your school on Tuesday morning for directions. Information concerning school meals during the closure will also be on the school websites and social media pages by that time.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and support as our state comes together to move past this pandemic health crisis. Please continue to follow the recommended hygienic prevention methods.
Thank you to the TCMS Reading Club for visiting our students and sharing a story with our classes. Our students enjoyed it!! 💙🐞
Our TCMS Reading Club had a wonderful time reading to our Pre-K students and eating at DQ!
Telfair County School District
Telfair County School District was notified this morning, March 12, 2020, that a student in our system had contact with family members last weekend who may have been exposed to COVID-19. The student has had no symptoms of the Coronavirus. The school district immediately alerted public health officials of the potential exposure. Health officials believe that the risk remains very low. We will remain in contact with local health officials.
Out of an abundance of caution, Telfair County School will have early release today at 12:30 p.m. Schools will be closed tomorrow for students and staff. This will allow us to clean and sanitize all schools as a preventative measure. All extracurricular activities are postponed until Monday, March 16, 2020. The health and safety of our students is always our top priority. We plan to resume normal operation on Monday, March 16, 2020. Parents and students, please monitor system and school websites and social media pages for updates.
Applications will be available tomorrow, March 9, beginning at 3:30 pm. 🙂
Remember, we must have (a copy) your child’s birth certificate, social security card, and two proofs of residency to secure a spot in PreK. We can make copies if you need us to do so.
See you tomorrow!!
