Our county has always been blessed when needing help from others. We would like to pass that on and send assistance to those who are currently battling wildfires or even victims of these fires. We have spoken with the Brantley County Sheriff and a local Georgia Forestry employee who is at the Pineland Fire.

We will be gathering needed items (list below) to send or deliver to these areas and others as needed. You can drop off any of the listed items at the Telfair Co Sheriff’s Office (old jail) during business hours. If you need more information or to arrange an alternate time for drop off or need someone to come pick up items, you can call the office at (229)868-6621, Sim at (229) 212-2405, or Andrea at (912)315-4458.

Thank you for being a blessing to others.

❄️ Winter weather is coming ❄️

Cold temperatures can bring icy roads, reduced visibility, and black ice especially on bridges and overpasses.

If you don’t have to be out, stay home and stay warm. Our Troopers and Officers are focused on traffic safety, helping motorists, and responding to crashes and there’s only so many of us statewide.

Georgia winters aren’t the time to test your driving skills.
Stay safe. Stay home. 🚓❄️
