Mead Recreation is headed to Folsom Field! 🏈

Join us for a Friday night under the lights as the Colorado Buffaloes take on the University of Houston!

Through the Town of Mead’s partnership with CU, Mead youth players, families, and community members can purchase specially priced tickets and support local recreation at the same time. For every ticket sold through the Mead link, $5 goes directly back to Town of Mead Recreation programs.

💧 Healthy landscapes don't always need more water. They need smarter watering.

A few simple irrigation practices can help your landscape thrive while conserving water:

• Water early in the morning to reduce evaporation.
• Water deeply but less often to encourage strong root growth.
• Use drip irrigation whenever possible.
• Hand-water newly planted flowers, trees, and shrubs until they're established.
• Inspect sprinkler heads regularly for leaks, clogs, or overspray.

FUN FACT FRIDAY: Mead Public Works helps keep our community moving and maintained every day!

Our Public Works team handles day-to-day maintenance of Town roadways, traffic signs, parks, and facilities, as well as snow and ice operations and other maintenance needs throughout Mead.

You can help by reporting non-emergency concerns directly to Public Works, including:

🔶 Potholes, street damage, or obstructions
🔶 Traffic sign maintenance
🔶 Park and playground maintenance
🔶 Drainage and flooding concerns

Once a report is received, staff will assess the issue, determine the appropriate repair, and identify who is responsible for the roadway or infrastructure. Some repairs may require additional investigation before work can begin, and not every roadway near Mead is maintained by the Town. Some are the responsibility of Weld County or the Colorado Department of Transportation.

🚧 ROAD CLOSURE 🚧

Beginning Tuesday, September 8, northbound CR 7 between Highway 66 and CR 32 (Adams Avenue) will close as the developer of the Mead Place project continues construction of the new roundabout, box culvert, and paving of CR 7. Southbound CR 7 will remain open through the work area.

The northbound closure is expected to remain in place through the end of October, weather and construction conditions permitting. Motorists should follow the signed detour route and allow additional travel time.

There’s still time to join Summit Singers this fall!

The Incline Choir brings 3rd–6th graders together for 12 weeks of music, creativity, and fun. Led by Choir Director Megan Lawless, singers will explore pop and contemporary music while building vocal techniques, performance skills, and confidence along the way.

No auditions or previous singing experience required. Just come ready to sing!

Registration closes September 7
Cost: $175 for the full session
Program begins September 14.
