Mead's Summer Block Party is underway! Come join us today (June 13) from 4-8 p.m. at Town Park.

This event is for the entire family with food trucks, children's activities, local vendors, beer/wine, live music, a corn hole tournament and more!

Fun Fact Friday: Mead's first roundabout, being built at Weld County Road (WCR) 32 and WCR 9.5 (High Plains Boulevard), is scheduled to open by the end of June. The roundabout will open to east, west and southbound traffic first. The north leg of the roundabout will be completed this fall after a portion of road between WCR 32 and WCR 34 is constructed.

A few features of the roundabout include:
• A 10-foot sidewalk along the roundabout’s west side for pedestrian use
• Streetlights to help with nighttime visibility
• Drainage enhancements to keep the roundabout free of standing water during storms

🚦 Traffic Update: Improvements on Weld County Road 7 at the intersection of State Highway 66 are now in place.

The roadway has been restriped, and the traffic signals have been updated to match the new lane layout. Dedicated left-turn signals are now active for both northbound and southbound traffic on CR 7, helping improve traffic flow.

As always, please drive carefully and follow the updated lane markings and traffic signals.

☀️ The Town of Mead is excited to launch Mead After-Hours — a brand-new summer event series focused on bringing the community together through live entertainment, interactive activities, and family-friendly fun!

Join us Friday, June 26 from 6–9 p.m. at Mead Town Park for Mead After-Hours: Summer Social, an evening packed with food trucks, lawn games, volleyball and a co****le tournament hosted by the Mead Area Chamber of Commerce. The tournament will offer both pre-registration and walk-up brackets, plus adult beverages.

Families can enjoy a dedicated activity zone hosted by Grandview Church with a bounce house, obstacle course, popcorn, lemonade and snow cones. The night wraps up with live music from Hazel Miller from 7–9 p.m. 🎶

We can’t wait to see you there!

ROAD CLOSURE: Cavalry Drive in the Liberty Ranch subdivision will be closed beginning Wednesday, June 10, for road work associated with the High Plains Library District project.

Residents within the closure area will continue to have access to their homes. The closure is expected to remain in place for at least one month while crews construct a new roadway connection and sidewalks in the area.
