Community Connect allows us to know important information before we step out of the apparatus.

Imagine responding to a house fire and already knowing:
✅ Someone uses a wheelchair.
✅ Oxygen cylinders are inside.
✅ There are three dogs in the home.
✅ The best entrance is through the rear door.
✅ The electric shutoff is on the north side of the house.

That information helps us work more safely, more efficiently, and more effectively.

🚒 Introducing Community Connect – Helping Us Better Protect Meadville

The Meadville Fire Department is excited to announce the launch of Community Connect, a secure, voluntary program that allows residents and business owners to share important information with firefighters before an emergency happens.

When you sign up, you can provide details about your home or business that may help firefighters, EMTs, and emergency responders make faster, more informed decisions during an emergency.

Examples include:
• Emergency contact information
• Gate or access codes
• Information about pets
• Medical equipment requiring electricity
• Mobility concerns
• Building layouts
• Utility shutoffs
• Hazardous materials or special hazards

Visit https://www.communityconnect.io/info/pa-meadville to sign up. This information is only available to emergency responders when responding to your address. Preparation before an emergency can make all the difference during one.

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE:

On Wednesday, July 29, 2026 and Tuesday, August 4, 2026, Kennedy St. (located between State & Randolph Sts.) will be closed due to construction operations at the Liberty St. Meadville Medical Center facility.

Residents should expect to see a high volume of semi-trucks entering Kennedy St. from State St., which may cause delays in travel during the morning hours.

Water will be shut off on North St., from Clark St. to North Morgan St., at 9 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, July 22, 2026 and last for approximately 4 hours.

It’s a beautiful day! Join us this evening for the incredible Erie Philharmonic live in Diamond Park! 🎻🎶💜

Instrumental petting zoo & food trucks start at 6pm and concert starts at 7pm.

Tonight! The finale of our Patriotic Pops concerts with Daniel Meyer and your Erie Phil as we return to Meadville, right in Diamond Park. The Phil goes on at 7pm but come early for food and fun in the sun with local vendors and our instrumental petting zoo!

⚠️ As part of the ongoing sewer installation project on North St., Pollard Land Services will close North St. from South Grant to Clark St. starting Monday, July 13th through Thursday, July 16th.

During this time only local traffic will be permitted. Provisions will be made for emergency services.
