Pennsylvania Equality Project PA Equality Project is the grassroots org advocating for civil rights for LGBTQIA2S+ people in PA. However, we are also working to:

As part of our work to end discrimination and bigotry in PA, we provide educational resources for businesses, nonprofit organizations, and governmental entities. Our efforts include programs on our YouTube channel and PEP Radio on the Live365 app that promote and inform the LGBTQ+ community in Pennsylvania. Reduce discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community.
2. End the use of conversion or "ex-gay

" therapy on all minors in Pennsylvania.
3. Mandate health insurance coverage for healthcare for the transgender community.
4. Improve anti-bullying laws in Pennsylvania to help protect LGBTQ+ youth.
5. Reduce LGBTQ+ youth homelessness through promotion of safe houses and scholarship opportunities for homeless LGBTQ+ youth.
6. Keep Pennsylvania's elections open, fair, and accessible to all eligible voters.
7. Protect LGBTQ+ older adults.
8. Reduce suicide by LGBTQ+ people in Pennsylvania.
9. End the gay/trans panic defense in criminal trials.
10. Add real or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and disability to the list of protected classes in Pennsylvania's Ethnic Intimidation law.
11. Stop library and school classroom book bans that seek only to remove LGBTQ+ reading and instructional materials.
