Mebane Community Garden

Mebane Community Garden The Mebane Community Garden is a community garden organized by the Mebane Woman's Club with plots owned and maintained by local Mebane residents.

The Mebane Community Garden rents plots to citizens for a nominal annual fee. We enjoy tending our own plots individually, and maintaining common plots together. Come enjoy the benefits of growing your own fresh produce!

I would like to thank all of the new Woman’s Club members for showing up and getting the job done along with some familiar faces that jumped in to make sure that the garden shines. It was beautiful weather and we discovered some living creatures that help keep the bugs out of our beds. 🌸.

Checking in on our dahlias and they are looking good! All 4 are showing growth but we seem to have an insect/caterpillar problem based on the holes in the leaves. We also have 10 zinnias popping up and a surprise calla lilly that was planted by a previous gardener. What a sweet surprise!

If you have a rising 3rd-5th grader that would like to explore the outdoors and learn about trails, join us this summer for the Mebane Junior Trail Rangers program! This free program will kick off on Sunday, June 22 at Cates Farm Park at 4:00. We will meet on Sundays from 4:00 - 5:00 to learn about trail safety and explore the outdoors.
