Good evening!
Well, as predicted, the MASD School Board has voted to raise our taxes again for the 10th time in 12 years. With the Region 2 Incumbent doing what she has done best, and not for the taxpayers and students, but help pad the Administrations pockets.

I may have won the Bronze Medal in a 2 horse race in the May Republican Primary but, I am willing to serve! It will be an up hill battle, but now that all Voters (Democratic, Independent and Republican) are able to participate in the general election, I hope that we can collectively work on a successful Write In campaign for November to protect our children and our hard earned dollars from this current School Board and Administrations wasteful and frivolous spending.

I am a Motivated Concerned Parent looking to bring Accountability to the School Board table.

THANK YOU to those who came out to support my efforts yesterday and Good Luck to the Students and Taxpayers of the Mechanicsburg Area School District moving forward!

Remember, bringing about change can take time and effort, but by taking action and working together, you and other Concerned Parents can make a difference and improve the situation and enviroment for your children and the community.

I urge every Concerned Parent to attend school board meetings and voice their concern during the public comment period. If you do attend the public comment period, please bring a thoughtfully prepared 3 minute statement of your area of interest, don't try to 'wing it'. You can also send a letter or email to the school board members and request a meeting with them to discuss your unsettling issues in more detail.

This is the most effective way to bring areas of interest to light. I have done this and was successful in my efforts by speaking during the public comments period, twice, and meeting with MASD Board members and Dr. Mark Leidy.

For those Concerned Parents that don't think they can effect change, you can, if you are willing to step up and speak out!

Good morning! The Republican Primary is tomorrow, polls open at 7 am and close at 8 pm. Mechanicsburg Area School District Region 2, Shiremanstown Borough and Upper Allen Township.

Key points for you tomorrow:

Representing the best interests for all students will be the basis for any decision.

I will work for a balanced budget without any support for raising taxes!

If the scheduled June Tax Increase is approved it will be 10 of the last 12 years the Taxpayers of the MASD School District have been asked to support:

- Salary increases for the Administration, FY 2022-2023
- Creating a NEW six figure Administrative position, FY 2023-2024

All while the projected 2023-2024 Budget is currently showing a $126,000 deficit for the MASD Food Services. A budget which includes raising Student Meal costs for 2023-2024 at every level. Another form of Taxation.

Prioritizing administrative budgets over programs and services that impact our children is WRONG!

Insuring that our students have access to the finest programs and support should be our focus!

I do not have any Political War Machines behind me, if you have seen my yard signs they are MAROON, signifying the Students and Taxpayers of the MASD School District are the PRIORITY!

I am a Motivated Concerned Parent, with students currently in the District, running because I believe I can make a positive impact for this School District.

I humbly ask for your vote on the Republican Primary Ballot on Tuesday, May 16th!

The Primary is a week away and FACTS Matter!

Last week the incumbent asks ‘Why change that? Why undo a well-run district?’’, referring to ‘other school district Superintendents tell Dr. Leidy that he is very lucky to have the present School Board to work with.’

Yes, ‘Why change that?’

Including this year, where there is a proposed 3.25% Tax Increase scheduled for the June 13, 2023 Regular School Board meeting, 10 of the last 12 years have seen Tax Increases issued by the ‘well-run school board’. In each of the 9 previous Tax Increase votes, the incumbent chose YES.

The Superintendent hasn’t delivered a balanced budget in 8 years without a Tax Rate Increase. Yet, the Board just approved a pay raise for the Superintendent, ‘why change that?’! No wonder why the other Superintendents are telling Dr. Leidy he’s Lucky! I understand that the District is growing and expenses are rising, but the Taxpayers are the only ones sacrificing their hard earned dollars while the School Board rewards the Adminstration.

This community simply cannot afford to keep the incumbent on the MASD School Board!

I’m a Motivated Concerned Parent, with students currently in the District, I’m running because I believe I can make a positive impact for this School District.

My pledge has always been to be accountable to the Students and Taxpayers of the MASD School District FIRST and that will not waiver!

I humbly ask for your vote on the Republican Primary Ballot on Tuesday May 16th!

Good morning. The Primary is 2 weeks from today. I have attached a sample of the ballot where you can find me on Tuesday, May 16th. Of the 6 names listed on the Republican Primary ballot, 4 of those candidates are cross filed on the Democratic Primary ballot. I am not one of those 4. Cross filing, in my opinion, is a hedge your bet move made by Politicians who are willing to compromise their own values to win at all costs. I am not a Politician, I am a Motivated Concerned Parent who is not willing to lessen the foundation of my personal values, which includes a dedication to Integrity, Character and Excellence for the greater good of the community.

I decided to run for a seat on the school board for the right reasons, The Students! Their Education and Safety are of the utmost importance.

The Taxpayer’s are included in my focus, where fiscal responsibility is required. Through the growth of student enrollment and the renovations to our physical plant, the current board is entertaining a significant tax increase. I do not support any increases to the current tax rates. Since the residents of MASD Region 2 represent a significant amount of the overall tax burden for the School Districts budget, every taxpayer should be taking notice.

Thank you to the Common Sense Conservative Group of residents living at Messiah Village for allowing me to join their candidates forum today.

It was a pleasure to have met and been able to speak to this involved and dedicated group of conservatives who are interested in the best, not only for their grandchildren, but for every student in the District.

Thank you again and I look forward to everyone's support on May 16th.
