We are inspired by Richard's messages of inclusivity, diversity, membership, and taking action! Richard Emmanuel Ashby Jr.

Mary E. Crocker worked at the Annie Halenbake Ross Library in Lock Haven during the Great Flood of 1936. When notified that the flood was coming close to the library, she attempted to move material from the first floor to the second. And when the second floor flooded, she moved important material to the third floor, where she had her living quarters. She rode out the flood there and was later appointed to the Flood Relief Committee.
