Masters Champ, Rory, said it in his speech yesterday. He thanked his parents for their sacrifices to pursue a dream to play golf. Is it expensive? Sure. Is there a way to provide affordable golf? Sure. Where do you begin when your child shows an interest? You can start with the youthoncourse.org program. For a limited time there is a free membership provided from Bank of America. Rich Valley Golf and Eagles Crossing are 2 community courses offering opportunities for Youth on Course Members. Golf Galaxy in Mechanicsburg offers 1 free lesson and a 5.00 an hour simulator time.

And then you ask…what about golf clubs? You can make a kids starter set affordable. How? Check thrift stores, check online marketplace, ask your neighbors who might have sets in the corner of their garage, or you can go online and buy a starter set for under 200.00. When there is a will there is a way. At RVG we do have a few kids sets available for usage on the 3 hole course.
