We are grateful to Ronda and her team at Lawrence Chevrolet for their years of support. Thank you!!

Last month, Lawrence Cares was proud to support the Silver Spring Township Police Department’s “Shop with a Cop” program! 👮‍♂️🛍️

Programs like this give local children the opportunity to create positive memories with the officers who serve and protect our community every day. We’re honored to play a small part in making this experience possible. ❤️

Thank you to the Silver Spring Township Police Department for everything you do for our community!

From all of us at Lawrence Chevrolet, we’re proud to continue giving back through Lawrence Cares. 🚗💙

World Downhill Skateboarding Championship Coming to Silver Spring Township

The World Downhill Skateboarding Championship (WDSC), an internationally sanctioned professional racing series, is proposing Miller's Gap Rd in Enola as the site of its 2027 U.S. stop. Since launching in 2022 with three races in Europe, WDSC has grown into a global circuit, drawing elite downhill skateboard and street luge athletes from around the world. If approved, the event would take place May 14–16, 2027.

Community Info Session

Silver Spring Township and event organizers invite residents to a community info session on October 6, at 2:30 PM or 5:30 PM, at the Silver Spring Township Building (8 Flowers Drive, Mechanicsburg). Residents can learn more about the proposed event, including the planned rolling road closures, safety measures, and how it may affect the area; and ask questions directly of township staff and event representatives.

Silver Spring Township is asking for your help to protect our parks! Unfortunately, we’ve experienced repeated vandalism at Paul Walters Park and our newly developing park areas, costing taxpayer dollars that could be used for other community projects.

🎾 Court Closures & Rules:

Tennis & Pickleball Courts: CLOSED until the park's grand opening in late October. Unauthorized use has already damaged entrance gates.

No Wheels on Courts: Bikes, scooters, skateboards, and e-bikes are not permitted. Tennis/pickleball courts are for their sports only, and basketball courts are for basketball only.

🚻 Paul Walters Park Restrooms:

Portable restrooms have been repeatedly vandalized. If this continues, the Township may have no choice but to permanently remove them. Security cameras are planned for the future.

🚨 See Something, Say Something!
If you witness suspicious activity in any park, please call the Silver Spring Township Police Department at 717-238-9676 or dial 911.

Thank you for helping keep our parks safe and clean for everyone! 🙏✨

For the 11th year in a row we are able to give a big “thank you!” to the Silver Spring Township Business Advisory Council for their generous donation. This year they donated $25,000 toward our Cops Care for Kids programs and equipment upgrades for the officers. Also, thanks to all who came out to their golf fundraiser which made this donation possible. Cops Care for Kids cover the Shop with a Cop, National Night Out, Female Mentoring, Trick or Treat, and others.
