What a fantastic afternoon at the Hampden Dems Summer Picnic! ☀️

Thank you to everyone who joined us for great food, great conversations, and even better company. It was wonderful spending time with friends, neighbors, candidates, and local elected officials while enjoying a beautiful day at the park.

We were especially grateful to hear from newly elected Cumberland County Democratic Committee Chair Antonio Megna, CCDC Chair, PA House candidate Sara Agerton for PA, PA Senate candidate Nate Wood, , and 10th Congressional District candidate Janelle Stelson about the work ahead and the issues that matter most to our community. A special thank you as well to PA Democratic State Committee Representatives Tom Fink and Jacqueline Smith-Bennett for stopping by and spending time with us.

📣 HAMPDEN TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS — YOUR VOICE MATTERS!

The Hampden Township Planning Commission will meet tonight at 6:30 PM, and an important zoning proposal is on the agenda.

The Commission will consider a request from Good Hope Ventures GH, L.P. to AMEND the zoning map for eight properties located at the southwest corner of Good Hope Road and Wertzville Road, changing the zoning from Residential Country to COMMERCIAL PARK LIMITED.

The Planning Commission may vote to recommend approval or denial of this request.

Whether you support, oppose, or simply want to learn more about a proposal that could impact the future character and development of our community, this is an opportunity to be informed and make your voice heard.

Local decisions shape our neighborhoods for generations. Public participation matters.

▪️ The Cumberland-Perry MH/IDD Advisory Board has six openings and helps guide mental health and intellectual and developmental disabilities services to ensure services reflect community needs.

▪️ The Blighted Property Reinvestment Board has two openings and works with municipalities to address vacant and blighted properties and support code enforcement.

▪️ The Municipal Authority has one opening and helps nonprofit and educational organizations secure tax-free financing opportunities.

▪️The Affordable Housing Trust Fund Board has ten openings and serves as an advisory body to the commissioners for reviewing funding requests and recommending policies that support affordable housing initiatives.

A huge thank you to all of our amazing volunteers who spent Election Day out in the unseasonably hot weather greeting voters, supporting our candidates, and helping make the Hampden Township Democratic presence known throughout the community. 💙

Thank you as well to every candidate who stepped up to run and gave Democratic voters real choices on the ballot and a reason to show up yesterday. Competitive elections make our party stronger and help build momentum for the critical general election ahead on November 3, 2026.

Now we keep organizing, keep growing, and keep moving forward together.
