To my first class: a letter from Mr. Bigham:
To my first class…
You entered Broad Street in August with hopes and dreams of a future unknown. You were excited but nervous, hopeful yet reserved. Now here in May, you are prepared, confident, and ready for the challenges that lie ahead.
Your teachers and staff have given you skills and knowledge to “Take on Challenges”. You have developed relationships that will last a lifetime and have come together as a learning community. You have learned to “Communicate with Respect” toward one another and the value of being a friend. Kind words and actions are the expectation.
To my first class…
You have left your legacy on our learning community. Your individual spirit has unified as a community where all students have the opportunity to belong. Our differences have made us stronger. Each day provides a chance to learn and grow as we make sure we “Stay Safe” and look out for one another. There is no greater gift that we can give our world than to make sure we respect and take care of others.
You have learned to “Act Responsibly” in all areas. Continue to be the special person that you are. Let no one force you to do something that you know is wrong. Be a leader, not a follower. Represent the “Wildcat Way” in everything that you do each and every day.
To my first class…
You are the future. You represent Broad Street and will forever be a family. Take care of yourself. Take care of each other. Continue the work to become whoever you are destined to be. Continue to dream. Continue to explore, innovate, and inspire others.
You are Broad Street. Be proud… be humble… Be a friend to all. We are so proud of you and look forward to seeing you become a champion for your community.
Have a great summer and enjoy all that lies ahead. We are Broad Street.
