Ashcake Volunteer Rescue Squad is dedicated to serving Hanover County residents and neighbors primarily in the 23116-area code. Our support and service efforts take the form of on-duty crews most nights each week and some days and weekends as crews are available. As part of the Ashcake community, the rescue squad exists to serve the emergent needs of the community as identified through Hanover Cou
nty’s 911 system and to partner with surrounding neighborhoods, schools, organizations, groups, and individuals to promote education and awareness for health and safety. Ashcake VRS is a 100% volunteer, non-profit 501(c)3 corporation relying on community support through donations in order to provide funding for equipment, training, and medical supplies.
