🏇🏼 Pony up to your local story for a special edition bourbon honoring a legendary jockey.

Today, Virginia ABC releases the 2026 edition of the Secretariat Virginia Straight Bourbon Whiskey in honor of the life and legacy of Hall of Fame jockey Ron Turcotte. This year’s release is rich in color and flavor featuring hints of vanilla and very smooth spicy caramel notes. The mashbill includes rye grain grown on the Meadow in Virginia where Secretariat was born.

The 2026 Secretariat Ron Turcotte Tribute Edition is available for purchase in-store only. Each Virginia ABC store has a limited number of bottles of this product.

Please join us in congratulating Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of Regional Operations Anthony Jimenez, who successfully graduated this week from the 58th Session of the Professional Executive Leadership School (PELS).

The program is offered in partnership with the University of Richmond’s School of Professional and Continuing Studies and the Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police (VACP). This highly-esteemed three-week intensive is designed to effectively prepare leaders in law enforcement to continue to serve and promote public safety to the highest standard.

This achievement is a testament to SAC Jimenez’s talent, determination, and commitment to continuously growing his capabilities and contributions to Virginia ABC and the Commonwealth as a whole.
