The excitement is building as the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival takes over Saratoga Race Course for another incredible weekend of racing!

Whether you’re heading northbound to Saratoga, gathering with friends to watch the races, or enjoying the many festivities throughout the region, we encourage everyone to celebrate responsibly.

🚗 Plan ahead for a safe ride home.
🍻 If you’re drinking, don’t drive.
📱 Use a designated driver, rideshare, or taxi.
🐎 Make smart decisions so everyone gets home safely.

🇺🇸🎆🎇 America Turns 250 — Celebrate in Halfmoon!

The Town of Halfmoon invites residents, families, and neighbors to a special community celebration honoring America’s 250th birthday.

🗓️ Date: July 2, 2026
⏰ Time: 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
📍 Location: Town of Halfmoon Complex, 2 Halfmoon Town Plaza, Halfmoon

Enjoy an evening of FREE family fun, including bounce houses, games and contests, a rock climbing wall, live music, fireworks, and complimentary food and drinks.

Bring the family, invite your neighbors, and help us celebrate this historic milestone together right here in Halfmoon. We look forward to seeing you there!

🏁 Last night, members of the Hillcrest Volunteer Fire Department traded flashing lights for racing lights as we enjoyed an evening together at Albany-Saratoga Speedway!

Being a member of a volunteer fire department is about so much more than responding to emergency calls, attending training, and helping around the firehouse. Over time, we become an extended family. We celebrate successes together, support one another through challenges, and enjoy opportunities like this to spend time together outside of the fire service.

The friendships and camaraderie built through volunteering are just as important as the skills we learn and the service we provide to our community. Events like last night’s outing remind us that some of the best memories are made when we’re simply enjoying each other’s company.

If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, there’s never been a better time to consider joining Hillcrest or your local volunteer fire department. Whether you’re interested in firefighting, emergency response, community service, or simply becoming part of a great team, there’s a place for you.

Another great effort by the Town of Halfmoon!

🇺🇸 250 Years of Service. One Community Saying Thank You.

As America prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday, the Town of Halfmoon is inviting residents to join together in a meaningful way to support those who served our nation.

The Town of Halfmoon is proud to launch “250 Years of Service: Halfmoon’s Wall of Thanks,” a community donation initiative collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items to support local Veterans.

Now through July 2, residents are encouraged to help us build a symbolic “Wall of Thanks” at Halfmoon Town Hall by donating pantry staples and essential food items in honor of the men and women who served our country.

“As we celebrate 250 years of America, we also recognize 250 years of sacrifice, service, and commitment by the men and women who have defended our freedoms,” said Halfmoon Town Supervisor Kevin Tollisen. “This is a meaningful opportunity for our community to come together and say, ‘Thank you for your service. Halfmoon stands with you.’ Even a simple donation can make a real difference in the life of a Veteran.”

💙 Residents attending Halfmoon’s America 250 Celebration on July 2 are also encouraged to bring a canned good or non-perishable donation to help grow the Wall of Thanks and show appreciation for All Who Served.

The Town of Halfmoon is excited to officially kick off the Outdoor Halfmoon Farmer’s Market with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at Abele Park!

🇺🇸 This Memorial Day Weekend, the members of the Hillcrest Volunteer Fire Department pause to remember and honor the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

This weekend is more than the unofficial start of summer — it is a time of remembrance, gratitude, and reflection for the heroes who gave everything to protect the freedoms we enjoy each day.

We also extend our appreciation to all veterans, active-duty military personnel, and their families for their continued sacrifice and dedication.

As you gather with family and friends this holiday weekend, please take a moment to remember those who never made it home.
