Safe Families for Children is a movement that helps isolated families find community. Safe Families for Children is volunteer driven and professionally supported by our Hearts With A Mission team. Support can include temporary hosting of children, respite childcare, or mentorship for youth and parents. Families in crisis experience the kindness and generosity of the community as they are provided with a safe environment for their children, connection, and encouragement to overcome their specific challenges. We were so encouraged by the incredible support we received last night from Grace Cascade Christian Schools! 💙
Hearts With A Mission was honored to share about our mission and programs, including our Neighborhood Bridge Initiative, during Parent Orientation,. This opportunity invites families to get involved right in their own neighborhoods and help build a bridge of support for isolated children, families and seniors who are longing for community and connection.

At Hearts With A Mission, we believe no one should have to navigate life’s challenges alone.

But the Neighborhood Bridge Initiative is about more than individual acts of kindness. It’s about bringing churches, schools, businesses, and community partners together to collaborate, build meaningful connections, and create a stronger, more connected community.

Together, we can create pathways toward a brighter future for those who need it most. 🌉❤️

Thank you, Grace Cascade Christian Schools, for welcoming us and for being part of the Neighborhood Bridge! Sometimes the difference between feeling stuck and moving forward with hope is simply having someone willing to build the bridge with you. We can’t wait to see you again tonight!

💗 Sometimes, the most meaningful moments begin with simply showing up.

Meet Carol, one of the incredible volunteers with Hearts With A Mission’s Hearts For Seniors program. In this video, Carol shares how a simple connection with a senior grew into a meaningful friendship, and why she loves spending time with older adults in our community.

Her message is simple…They want friendship, companionship, and someone to share life with. ❤️

For some of our seniors, a volunteer may be the person who helps with an errand, provides a ride to a doctor’s appointment, gets out for a little adventure, or simply takes the time to listen.

And for the volunteer? It can become so much more than giving time. It can become a friendship.

✨ You don’t have to be extraordinary to make a difference. You just have to show up.

Hearts With A Mission's Safe Families For Children (SFFC) program helps families get back on their feet and works to keep families whole. We do this by surrounding families facing a crisis with a caring, compassionate community of volunteers, professionally supported by Hearts With A Mission. Hearts With A Mission is home to Southern Oregon’s only homeless youth shelter, providing a safe place 24/7 for youth ages 10–17 ❤

Our team provides crisis support, family mediation, case management, education and employment support, counseling, tutoring, mentoring, life skills, adventure therapy, meals and nutrition, clothing, hygiene essentials, school supplies, aftercare, and so much more.

But beyond every service we provide, we believe the most powerful things we can offer are love and hope to every youth that walks through our doors.

Every child deserves a safe home and a loving family. Until they can return home, our hope is that HWAM feels like home...a place where they can breathe, heal, feel cared for, and know they belong. 🏠❤️

Hearts With A Mission's Hearts For Seniors program serves isolated seniors (65 and older) and acts as a bridge to allow them to remain safely in their home while also fostering a sense of friendship, belonging, and connection.

Through our volunteers, Hearts For Seniors provide regular companionship so our seniors feel seen, known and cared for. This program also can assist seniors with their daily activities and errands, medical appointments, and small projects to allow them to remain in their home with dignity. This is a completely free, volunteer-driven program supported professionally by Hearts With A Mission. One hour a week can completely transform the life and well-being of a lonely senior!
