How Often Does the Assessor’s Office Inspect Property?

Have you ever wondered how often our office physically visits properties?

Our office conducts visual inspections of property every four years, covering approximately one-quarter of the county each year. This allows us to systematically review properties throughout the county on a regular cycle.

There are also situations when we may need to revisit a property before its regular inspection cycle. For example, we may return when:

🏠 A property is sold
🏗️ New construction or improvements have been made
🔨 A building or structure has been removed or torn down
đź“‹ We become aware of changes that may affect the property record

During an inspection, we are looking at the property from a valuation and assessment standpoint and making sure our records accurately reflect the improvements and condition of the property.

Our goal is to keep property records accurate, up to date, and fair for everyone in our county.

If you have questions about your property record or an inspection, please contact the Grant County Assessor’s Office. We’re here to help!
