Tufts Black Mens Group Tufts' Black Men's Group is a non-bias welcoming organization of the Tufts community and strongly urge all colors and genders to join in our dialogues

The Black Men’s Group (BMG) serves as an educational and social support group geared towards building well rounded, respectful and informed men at Tufts. In the pursuit of overall excellence, the principles of the Black Men’s Group are:

Peer Mentorship


Through facilitated meetings, the Black Men’s Group meets weekly to discuss topics that promote the p

ractice of scholarship, brotherhood and leadership and works with the Black Women’s Collective, Pan-African Alliance and The Africana Center to provide programs that promote a sense of integrity, pride and honor for the Black community.

A recent Tufts graduate school alum is hosting a large event in Downtown Boston for MArch 14th. This event is a collaboration between Rapture Events Boston and the Greater Boston Morehouse College Alumni Association to raise scholarship money for students trying to attend Morehouse College. Black Mens Group would like to extend their support for the Logan Cotton Campaign in his effort to bring relevance to the Senate for many student groups and his dedication to reinvigorating the efforts to unify the campus as a whole. Hey all.. BMG and BWC are co-sponsoring a film and discussion event this Friday at 5:30pm in the Africana Center lounge. The movie that will be shown is "Beyond Beats and Rhymes" with Byron Hurt, which looks at hip hop culture and masculinity. It is in honor of April as the Sexual Awareness Month. I hope to see many of you there!
