2026 Leap Into Literacy Mini-Grants
Help us promote literacy among children, adults, and families in our schools or community
Taylor County Literacy Council

Basics:
Taylor County Literacy Council will be accepting applications from individuals and/or organizations in our countywide schools or community.

Mini-Grant will be awarded four times a year, with submission deadlines of January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1.

Mini-Grants are available at $100.00

Taylor County Literacy Council will determine how many mini-grants will be given each application period based on funding availability.

Literacy projects could be to help teach/promote: reading, math, mental health, financial, etc

Proposals should include:
Your name and organization
Title of the Project
Description of the Project Goals and how this will help literacy
Timeline of Procedures and Activities
Number of Participants
Budget

Dolly Parton Imagination Library of Taylor County is made possible through donations, grants, and collaborative efforts among the Taylor County Literacy Council, Kiwanis of Medford, Medford Schools, and Fulcrum Foundation.

This monthly book program will be open to any enrolled children from birth up to five years of age who reside in Taylor County.

Here is our registration link for families who have a child who is age and residence eligible. Upon registration a child will receive their first book in approximately 8 weeks.

Kiwanis of Medford donated $1,000 toward our Dolly Parton Imagination Library of Taylor County program.

Kiwanis and Taylor County Literacy Council are excited to partner together in helping promote this program helping bring books every month to children from birth up through four years of age.

Christmas in July was a fun morning with Santa Mac, Medford Firefighters, Rudolph's friends, Paw Patrol Pups saving Christmas, Books for Kids, and more family fun.

Taylor County Literacy Council would like to thank Santa Mac, Medford Fire Department, Broadway Theatre, Kraft Kuddly Kritters, Medford Schools, our volunteers, and all of the 200+ children and families who came today.

The first 50 families who attend our Christmas in July Event on Tuesday July 21st from 9-11:00 am at Medford Fire Dept will receive their own copy of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" Book.
