Celebrating kindness in action! ๐ŸŽ‰

Grandpa Bruce, one of our amazing Foster Classroom Grandparents, was recognized at Hoover Elementary School with a custom shirt that says "Favorite Classroom Papa" and signed by the children he supports ๐Ÿ‘•๐Ÿ™‚ What a beautiful reminder of the impact caring adults can have in a classroom.

Thank you to the Hoover community for welcoming volunteers with open arms. Enjoy your summer break โ€” weโ€™ll be spending ours building new skills in child development and preparing volunteers for another great year ahead.

Happy Summer, everyone! ๐ŸŒผ โœจ If you are 55+ and interested in volunteering for this program, learn more by emailing [email protected] or calling 541-857-7786 ๐Ÿ’•

โœจ Volunteer with Purpose in Medford โœจ

Our RSVP partner, St Vincent de Paul of Medford, OR, is seeking compassionate volunteers to support their thrift storeโ€”an essential part of their mission to serve neighbors in need across Jackson County.

Rooted in a commitment to provide a hand-up, not just a hand-out, St. Vincent de Paul offers hope, dignity, and practical support to individuals and families experiencing hardshipโ€”regardless of background or circumstance.

๐Ÿ’™ Thanks to dedicated volunteers, in 2025 they:
โ€ข Helped thousands of individuals with food, shelter, and basic needs
โ€ข Provided critical resources for families experiencing homelessness
โ€ข Offered compassionate, person-centered support to over 9,000 individuals

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Current Volunteer Need:
Assist with testing and minor repairs of small electrical items in the thrift store. Your work helps ensure donated goods are ready for resaleโ€”directly funding programs that serve our most vulnerable neighbors.

๐Ÿ•’ Flexible Scheduling:
Volunteer hours and time commitment are flexible.

๐Ÿช Why It Matters:
St. Vincent de Paul is entirely volunteer-powered, with thrift store proceeds supporting life-changing services across the community. When you volunteer, you become part of a mission rooted in compassion, respect, and service to others.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Interested or know someone who might be a great fit?
