September Service Anniversaries!

This month, the Medford Township Police Department proudly recognizes Corporal William Ruskowski, who is celebrating his 3rd return to service anniversary with Medford Township. Corporal Ruskowski returned to our agency in 2023 after serving for several years with the Burlington City Police Department.

Thank you for the time, sacrifice, and pride you bring to the badge every day. Medford Township is fortunate to have you protecting and serving our community.

🚧 Traffic Advisory – Monday, August 31 & Tuesday, September 1

Kiely Construction will be working in the following areas:

Monday, August 31: Mill Street will have alternating traffic from the bridge near Memorial School to Main Street until morning school bus routes are completed. Afterward, Mill Street will be closed to through traffic at Main Street and Himmelein Road. School buses will still be permitted through the closure.

Tuesday, September 1: Main Street between Mill Street and Trimble Street will be reduced to one alternating lane. A short section of Mill Street will also have alternating traffic.

Motorists should expect delays, allow extra travel time, and follow directions from traffic personnel.

We had a great time stopping by the Little Renegades Basketball Camp at Kirby’s Mill School!

The camp was supported by the Shawnee High School Boys and Girls Basketball coaching staffs, along with current and former Shawnee basketball players who spent time working with the young athletes and sharing their skills and love of the game.

It was great to see our local athletes giving back and helping inspire the next generation of basketball players!

Thank you to everyone involved for putting together such a fun experience for our community’s young athletes!

Traffic Advisory – Tuesday, August 25

Arawak Paving will be finishing line striping on Himmelein Road. The roadway will remain open; however, motorists should use caution and expect minor delays while traveling through the work area.

Kiely Construction will be working in several areas along Mill Street and on Trimble Street. Traffic on Mill Street will be reduced to one alternating lane, with flaggers directing motorists through the work zones.

Mill Street will be open to local traffic only between Main Street and Himmelein Road. Motorists should expect delays and use caution.

Traffic Advisory – Monday, August 24

Arawak Paving will be line striping Himmelein Road. Himmelein Road will remain open in both directions while the work is being completed.

Kiely Construction will be working in the following areas:

Stokes Road at Haines School will be reduced to one alternating lane of traffic.

Main Street at Mill Street will be open to local traffic only.

Mill Street at Himmelein Road will be completely closed with no access. Mill Street can only be accessed from Main Street.

Trimble Street will be closed.

Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

Yesterday members of the Medford Township Police Department stopped by the Main Street Summer Block Party to enjoy the festivities and spend some time connecting with our community!

A big thank you to the Medford Main Street Merchants and all of the local businesses, sponsors, and volunteers who helped make this event happen. Events like this are a great way to bring our community together and support the businesses that make Downtown Medford so special!
