Bridging Communities was proud to join Living Opportunities and partners from across Oregon at the first-ever Tech Forward Oregon summit focused on technology solutions for disability.

We were especially excited to bring Coco, our new Gita robot, and be part of conversations about how technology can support independence, connection, communication, and inclusion.

Oregon is building momentum toward becoming a more tech-forward state, and we’re proud to be part of the work alongside self-advocates, providers, community organizations, and state partners helping move these conversations forward.

Thank you to Community Vision, ALSO, OCDD, the Kuni Foundation, and everyone who helped make this day possible.

The Office of Developmental Disabilities Services is hosting a community meeting in Medford to talk about the future budget for DD services—and your input matters.

We hear a lot about the odds. What might not happen. What might be unlikely. And then families go out and defy them anyway.

Showing up, learning, building something that works for their child and their life.

Even Han Solo wasn’t really solo. None of us are meant to do this alone.

Today we’re celebrating the people who keep going and keep expanding what’s possible.

May the Fourth be with you on your journey. And if you need someone to journey with, we’re here. 💛

The Transition to Adulthood Council (TAC) is a paid advisory group for young adults with disabilities (ages 18–26) to share their experiences and help improve healthcare systems.

This is about real voices shaping real change, building leadership skills, and making sure professionals are learning from lived experience.

We love seeing organizations value lived experience 💙

🗓 Applications are open now
📅 Deadline: May 15, 2026
💻 Most participation is virtual

📍 Note: Open to applicants across Oregon, including rural communities. There are a few in-person meetings each year, and mileage reimbursement is limited to 75 miles.
