On July 16, 2026, the Taylor County Health Department, with support from the Taylor County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) and Taylor County Emergency Management, successfully conducted a Full-Scale Drive-Through Vaccination Clinic Exercise at the Taylor County Fairgrounds.
This exercise tested our ability to quickly establish and operate a Point of Dispensing (POD) during a public health emergency. Participants practiced every step of the process—from traffic management and registration to medical screening, vaccine administration, and post-vaccination observation.
The exercise was a tremendous success and demonstrated the strong partnerships that exist throughout Taylor County. Working together, we validated our plans, strengthened interagency coordination, and ensured we are prepared to protect our community when it matters most.
Preparedness doesn't happen by chance—it happens through planning, training, and teamwork.
Together, we're building a healthier, safer, and more resilient Taylor County.
