The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting bids on two (2) decommissioned patrol vehicles. Bids should be dropped off or mailed to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office marked attention: Chief Deputy Chad Kowalczyk. See minimum starting bids below. Bid deadline is noon on May 29, 2026.

Bid items are as follows:

2017 Dodge Ram 4WD 1500 Truck
77,350 miles
Minimum Bid: $11,000

2018 Dodge Durango Pursuit V8 AWD (all-wheel drive)
95,462 miles
Minimum Bid: $6,000

Camp 8 ATV Trails on Taylor County Forest and the Perkinstown Motorized Trails on the Chequamegon - Nicolet National Forest will open Friday, May 1st.

Riders should expect early season conditions, with some areas being wet and potentially soft. Please use caution while on the trails. Riders are also reminded to obey signage and stay on designated roads and trails as cross-country off-trail riding is not allowed. Updated trail maps are available at the Taylor County Forestry Department office.

The Taylor Made ATV Club has put in many volunteer hours brushing, signing, and working on the trail system. Please support the club and thank them for their efforts.
