Rogue Retreat

Rogue Retreat We create opportunities for those experiencing homelessness to have hope.

Rogue Retreat meets homeless people as they are (many with addiction and/or mental health challenges) and provides creative and temporary housing for them: a place to call home. With community partners and Rogue Retreatโ€™s Community Support Specialists, Rogue Retreat collectively wraps itself around program participants delivering supportive services to help them achieve their highest potential.

Recently, Rogue Retreat had the opportunity to host a tour for Oregon gubernatorial candidate Christine Drazan, along with Representative Shelly Boshart Davis and Representative Kim Wallan.

The visit provided an opportunity to share our approach to addressing homelessness in Southern Oregon. At Rogue Retreat, we believe that shelter and housing are foundational for human dignity and for making lasting, stable changes. When people have a safe place to sleep, store their belongings, and meet their basic needs, they are better able to focus on the challenges that led to homelessness in the first place.

Our programs are designed to create opportunity. Once guests enter our programs, we work alongside them to identify barriers, set goals, and develop a plan for moving forward. Participants are expected to take an active role in their own growth, recovery, and self-sufficiency. Progress requires commitment, accountability, and effort.

Through our training and employemnt programs like Hope Streets and Hope Kitchen, guests gain job skills, work experience, and confidence as they prepare to reenter the workforce. Last year, nearly half of all participants successfully completed our programs, representing more than 600 individuals who found safety, stability, and a pathway toward a brighter future.

We appreciate the opportunity to share our work with leadership and discuss solutions that strengthen individuals, families, and communities throughout Southern Oregon.

A huge thank-you to everyone who came out on Saturday, May 16th to help paint Cindyโ€™s Haven. ๐Ÿ’™

Rogue Retreat employees, Hope Streets interns, employees of Erickson Inc. and volunteers from across the community all came together to refresh this important transitional housing home. More importantly, it was a day filled with teamwork, laughter, and people working side by side for a shared purpose.

Cindyโ€™s Haven provides safety and stability for women and children rebuilding their lives, and projects like this help create a welcoming place to call home. We are so grateful for everyone who gave their time, energy, and heart to this project.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who served our country with courage and made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy today.

Their service, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten. As we spend time with family and community this holiday, may we also take a moment to reflect with gratitude on those who gave everything in service to others.

From all of us at Rogue Retreat, we wish you a safe and meaningful Memorial Day. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Yesterday, Rogue Retreat's Outreach Team was proud to take part in the Spring Resource Fair at Hawthorne Park hosted by the Medford Police and the City of Medford.

Several community providers came together to offer resources, support, and services to those in need. The event had a wonderful turnout and created many meaningful connections throughout the day.

A special thank-you to members of Medford First Christian Church for serving delicious hamburgers to everyone attending.

We are always grateful to be part of this important annual event and look forward to returning again next year. ๐Ÿ’™

Workforce development creates opportunities for people to rebuild stability, confidence, and independence. Through Hope Streets, participants gain hands-on experience, strengthen job skills, and work toward long-term goals that can change the course of their lives.

This year, Hope Streets expects to serve 60 trainees through our workforce development programs.

Already in 2025, 21 Hope Streets trainees have participated in the program:

7 obtained employment
9 secured housing outside of Rogue Retreat programs
1 graduated from RCC, transferred to SOU as a junior, and moved into their own apartment

These milestones represent more than numbers. They reflect hard work, persistence, and the impact of having support, opportunity, and a community that believes in second chances ๐Ÿ’ฏ

Hope Streets continues to help create pathways toward stability, self-sufficiency, and hope for the future ๐Ÿ’™
