A simple “thank you” could never fully express our gratitude for the support you show women and girls in our community.

Your generosity sends a powerful message: that no one has to face their challenges alone. You validate their struggle, remind them that asking for help is a sign of strength, and create opportunities for healing, growth, and hope.

For all the ways you uplift and empower women and girls in our community, we are profoundly grateful.

Thank you for your continued support and helping the community’s transit system be a viable transportation option!

Voters approved RVTD’s special levy on May 19th with a 63% majority in support! The levy is a continuation of a 13-cent property tax that was originally passed in 2016 and again in 2021 and a third time in 2026. Funds from the levy will allow RVTD to maintain current service for five additional years and provide an opportunity for restoring some of the service that was cut in 2025. RVTD’s Board and staff will begin the public engagement activities to identify what service to restore this summer with plans to add service in the fall of 2026.

Bad News…

Now for the messy stuff…

Last month, my personal Facebook account was hacked. Click here to watch a video I made right after it happened. Because the Disruptors Org page is linked to my personal account, I also lost access to it.

After they took over my accounts, the hackers did nothing for about a month. Last week, they finally struck.

One week ago, they began posting AI-generated images of me with “my uncle” (a fake person), who was supposedly sick in the hospital. To scam my Facebook friends, they made dozens of posts selling items that belonged to this fake uncle. They were able to steal thousands of dollars from my Facebook friends. (We have contacted the police).

Reminder: if we are Facebook friends, or if you follow the Disruptors Org or Disruptors.Org pages, they are no longer ours. Please do not engage with the pages and definitely, DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY via Facebook or Facebook Messenger to Disruptors Org or me personally.

If you want to donate, the safest place is via our website: www.wearedisruptors.org. Our fundraising page links here: https://survivoremergencyfunds.funraise.org/

We were hacked at the worst possible time (as if there were a good time to be cyber-attacked!)

Credibility matters, and having hackers try to take that from us has only emboldened us to continue the mission. We will not be deterred! Right now, we have two survivors in need of emergency funds, and now that we have lost access to fundraising on Facebook, this email is our call to action.

Please help two survivors with urgent needs this week!
