We would like to thank the Fulcrum Foundation for their generosity in funding the replacement of our Automated External Defibrillators (AED) in all of our marked squad cars. Each deputy is trained as a 1st Responder which enables them to respond to medical emergencies in our county. Oftentimes first on scene, deputies initiate CPR, attach AED’s, and provide life-saving measures until EMS personnel arrive to provide advanced patient care. Also, thanks to the Taylor County Health Department for writing the application to receive the funding. We are fortunate to have such strong partnerships in this community!

This week is National Correctional Officers Week and we want to recognize the dedicated men and women at the Taylor County Jail for their professionalism, compassion, and commitment to their profession.

Oftentimes, correctional staff do not receive much of the spotlight, as their primary responsibility is that of the safety/security of the jail which goes unseen to the general public.

Thank you to each and every member of our team! We could not carry out our mission without you!
