Today officially ends my time as the Assemblyman of the 8th Legislative District. It's been a challenging but fulfilling four years, and nothing good in life comes without a challenge.
I wanted to thank you, the people, for supporting me through my two terms. I've tried to serve from the ground up and bring my community's issues to Trenton, and I couldn't have done that without such a strong group of people behind me. This is your seat in the assembly. Never forget that.
I'll cherish my time as your representative, fighting for affordability issues, tax issues and against grift in Trenton. I'm proud of wrestling with Trenton to finally end the combat zone tax on our state's current military heroes and to introduce fraud protections against the state's corporate welfare policies. But what I'm most proud of is connecting with my residents on a consistent basis through our District Day of Service. I'll always remember handing out meals to seniors during the pandemic and sleeping in the cold in our office parking lot to raise money for homeless youth.
It's been a great four years. While I'm stepping down to spend more time with my wife and kids, I promise to still be present in the community. Thank you.
