Painting at the Preserve will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 9, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The cost is $55 per person, and registration is required.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate in the Upper Providence Environmental Commission’s recent survey regarding gas-powered leaf blowers.

While opinions varied, the survey showed limited support for restrictions on gas-powered leaf blowers at this time. As a result, the Environmental Commission will not recommend further action to the Township Council on this topic.

The Commission also shared simple ways residents can reduce environmental impacts, including planting native species, leaving some leaves in place, creating natural areas in yards, and considering electric lawn equipment when replacing existing tools.

Upper Providence Township is looking for volunteers to help make the 4th Annual Community Day a success. Whether you can give an hour, two hours, or more, every bit of help makes a difference.

Community Day will take place Saturday, September 19, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Rose Tree Park.

High school students can also earn community service hours while volunteering at one of the Township’s biggest events of the year.
