🌤️ Citizen of the Week: Todd Bennett 🌤️

This week, we are proud to recognize Todd Bennett, founder of Todd’s Delaware County Weather, as our Citizen of the Week.

While many people start their day with a cup of coffee, Todd starts his by making sure thousands of Delaware County residents know what to expect from the weather ahead. Day after day, he dedicates his time to keeping our community informed, prepared, and connected.

Our Citizen of the Week recognitions often highlight extraordinary acts during difficult circumstances. This week, we’re recognizing something equally important: someone who brings people together. Todd’s weather group has become more than just a source for forecasts. It’s a community where Delaware County residents can connect, engage, and support one another.

In a world that often feels divided, Todd provides something simple but meaningful... a reliable, welcoming place for neighbors to come together. He truly is a breath of fresh air.

Many members of the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office are longtime fans of Todd and his work. It was our pleasure to welcome him to the office today, hear more about his story, and personally thank him for everything he does for our community.

Normally, we’d be posting our Citizen of the Week.

But after the violent week our county has endured, this message matters more.

Violence has stolen too many lives, shattered too many families, and today the DA is making one thing crystal clear: enough is enough. No excuses. No tolerance. No looking the other way.

We were honored to visit the N.I.T.E. Center at Neumann University as they celebrated their 2nd anniversary, and we were especially proud that the DA had the opportunity to speak during the event.

It was exciting to hear about the center’s continued growth, their work assisting with 988 investigations and counting, and the big plans they have for the future. The N.I.T.E. Center is providing valuable hands-on training and opportunities for those pursuing careers in law enforcement and related fields.

We appreciated the opportunity to tour the facility, meet the dedicated team, and learn more about the important work they do every day. We look forward to seeing all that’s ahead for the center.

Memorial Day reminds us that freedom carries a cost. Today, we remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to our country. We pay tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of the brave men and women who answered the call to serve. As we spend time with family and friends, we also take a moment to reflect on the lasting legacy of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. 🇺🇸

MVP Recovery would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Chief Cardell and the Norwood Borough Police Department for their dedication, leadership, and commitment to bridging the gap between law enforcement and behavioral health services throughout Delaware County.

We are incredibly grateful to have had our SHEILD Coordinator, Corporal Leo Francis Doyle of the Ridley Township Police Department, conduct an intensive and impactful training focused on first responder wellness and the Delaware County District Attorney's Office Law Enforcement Treatment Initiative (LETI), one of the most successful police diversion programs in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The LETI Program continues to transform lives by removing barriers and creating pathways to treatment, support, and recovery for individuals struggling with substance use and behavioral health challenges. Instead of incarceration, individuals are connected to the treatment and support services they desperately need, proving that collaboration, compassion, and innovation truly save lives.

We had a great time at the Safe Summer Kick Off on Sunday! It was a great day to get out with the famiy and enjoy a day full of music, water ice, games and a basketball tournament! 🏀

District Attorney Tanner Rouse had a blast taking on the job of being a Ref for the game, Deputy DA Matt Krouse put on his coaching shoes for a youth shootout game, and Admin Erin Bergin oversaw the games and had prizes for the winners! 🏆

We look forward to having a fun, safe summer! ☀️
