🌊 Last week, Dr. Laura Guertin had an ‘Ocean Challenges’ display in the library featuring work from her GEOSC 40: The Sea Around Us class!

Students made origami to indicate what challenge concerned them most. The resulting ocean of origami highlighted some of the biggest issues affecting our oceans, from climate change and rising ocean temperatures to overfishing, biodiversity loss, marine pollution, and ocean governance. Other students in the library could also cast their vote on our whiteboard poll for the ocean issue they felt deserved the most attention. 🗳️💙

Did you get a chance to check it out? 👀
