Delaware County Transportation Management Association DCTMA The DCTMA is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the transportation network serving Delaware County.

The Delaware County Transportation Management Association (DCTMA) is committed to being an advocate for your business or community’s transportation needs. We offer a unique combination of services to access a broad labor pool, to analyze the location and commuting options of employees, to broker transportation, and to provide support for commuting employees. We are your advocate with transportation agencies and providers by serving on key committees of SEPTA, PENNDOT, and the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission.

🚌 It's National School Bus Safety Week! 🛑

October 19–23, 2026, is National School Bus Safety Week! DCTMA and the Delaware County Community Traffic Safety Project are reminding drivers to do their part to keep students safe on our roadways.

As you travel through your community, remember these important safety tips:

🛑 STOP when a school bus has its red lights flashing and stop arm extended.
🚗 STAY BACK at least 10 feet from school buses.
🚸 BE ALERT for children getting on and off the bus.
⚠️ SLOW DOWN and use extra caution in school zones and neighborhoods.

A few extra seconds of caution can make a big difference in keeping our students safe. Let's work together to make every school bus ride a safe one!

On Thursday, October 15th, DCTMA held its annual Fall Legislative Transportation Forum at Springfield Country Club!

The event brought together elected officials, transportation professionals, and community leaders to discuss important transportation issues, ongoing initiatives, and the future of transportation in Delaware County and the surrounding region.

We were pleased to welcome our guest speakers:

• Rep. Jennifer O'Mara
• Delaware County Councilwoman Elaine Paul Schaefer

🚆 SEPTA Regional Rail Schedule Changes Coming October 18!

Attention Regional Rail riders! SEPTA will introduce updated schedules beginning Sunday, October 18, 2026, with adjustments aimed at improving service reliability, consistency, and the overall commuting experience.

Several lines will see changes to train departure and arrival times, including the Media/Wawa, Wilmington/Newark, Paoli/Thorndale, and other Regional Rail lines.

Whether you're commuting to work, heading into Philadelphia, or traveling throughout the region, be sure to review your updated schedule before your next trip!

What a great National Walk & Roll to School Day at Manoa Elementary School!

On Wednesday October 7th, students, teachers, and community partners came together to celebrate National Walk & Roll to School Day and the importance of staying active and safe on the journey to and from school. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️💙

We're especially excited because just last week, the Delaware County Community Traffic Safety Project visited Manoa Elementary and provided pedestrian safety, bicycle safety, and proper helmet fitting education to the entire school! Yesterday's walk was a wonderful opportunity for students to put those safe walking skills into action.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the event a success. Seeing so many smiling faces walking to school is a great reminder that safe, healthy habits can be fun too! 🚸✨

We had a great time hosting a Transit Fair at Penn State Brandywine last Thursday!

The campus community had the opportunity to stop by, learn more about their transportation options, pick up SEPTA schedules and commuter resources, and connect with DCTMA about getting around campus and the surrounding community.

🚸 We spent this week at Manoa Elementary teaching students pedestrian and bicycle safety in preparation for Walk to School Day! Students learned important skills including safe street crossing, sidewalk safety, visibility, and how to stay alert around traffic. We're excited to see them put these lessons into practice next week as they participate in Walk to School Day. Thank you to Manoa Elementary and our community partners for helping make safety education fun and engaging! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️💙
