On Thursday, May 28th, the Delaware County Community Traffic Safety Project and Chester County Highway Safety Project (CCHSP) hosted a Teen Safe Driving ROADeo at the Concord Municipal Building. The event brought together students from across the region for a hands-on day focused on safe driving practices, impaired driving awareness, work zone safety, and sharing the road responsibly.
Participants rotated through a variety of interactive stations, including mock traffic stops, heavy truck safety demonstrations, Fatal Vision Goggle activities, impaired driving education, and presentations from safety professionals and law enforcement agencies. The program aimed to educate young drivers on the importance of making safe and responsible decisions behind the wheel.
We would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the event sponsors and partners who helped make this program possible, including Main Line Health Paoli Hospital, AAA, Rapid Relief Team (RRT), Belfor Property Restoration, PennDOT, the Traffic Injury Prevention Project (TIPP), Virginia Tech Transportation Institute, Universal Technical Institute (UTI), West Whiteland Township Police Department, Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department, and the Pennsylvania State Police.
DCTMA and CCHSP appreciate the continued support and collaboration from all organizations involved in helping keep young drivers and our communities safe.
