Delaware County Paralegal Association

Delaware County Paralegal Association Our goals are many and diverse. We have a desire to grow in our profession. We plan to give to the community through charity, fundraising and volunteer work.

Delaware County Paralegal Association, a member of the Keystone Alliance of Paralegal Associations, was formed in September of 2011 with a desire to create an organization where Paralegals could network, share knowledge and promote the profession. The Delaware County Paralegal Association, a member of the Keystone Alliance of Paralegal Associations, was formed in September 2011, and is an ambitiou

s and active organization. We seek to join the Delaware County paralegal community together for professional and social networking. We plan to provide a forum for the exchange of knowledge, information, viewpoints, ideas, educational opportunities, job openings, and news of interest to all paralegals. We became a part of something bigger in the process, affiliating with the statewide network of paralegals. We sponsor continuing legal education courses at the Delaware County Bar Association for educational and professional growth. We are a determined, energetic association, eager for opportunities to meet and network with others in our field. Like the iconic little trolley chugging through our county seat of Media, we have embarked on a journey to launch our own Delaware County Paralegal Express, in an effort to create an association to enrich our careers, our lives and the legal community at large.

This member spotlight is especially significant because it is for our association.

Thank you Keystone Alliance of Paralegal Associations for spotlighting us and all the hard work our organization, along with former President and current Keystone Alliance Delegate, Rosemarie Ruggieri does for our association.

🌟 Keystone Member Association Spotlight: Delaware County Paralegal Association 🌟

This fall, the Delaware County Paralegal Association (DCPA) proudly celebrates its 15th anniversary alongside its members, sponsors, and community partners. Founded in 2011, DCPA has remained dedicated to advancing the success of paralegals through professional development, continuing legal education, and meaningful networking opportunities.

DCPA works closely with the local bar association to provide educational programming and support important initiatives, including pro bono services that benefit the surrounding community. The association is also deeply committed to charitable outreach throughout Delaware County and proudly awards an annual $1,000 scholarship to aspiring paralegals pursuing their professional goals.

In addition to its educational and community efforts, DCPA has become a social media innovator by using its platforms to educate the public about the paralegal profession and promote the valuable role paralegals serve within the legal community.

✨ Delegate Spotlight: Rose Ruggieri ✨

Rose Ruggieri joined DCPA in 2018 and quickly became an active leader within the organization, serving as Secretary from 2019 through 2022 and President from 2023 through 2024. She currently serves as Chairperson of DCPA’s Education and Professional Development Committee.

Rose especially enjoys DCPA’s community outreach efforts and encouraging paralegal students to explore the many benefits of joining a local paralegal association. Professionally, Rose is employed by Joseph Chupein, Jr., representing the Fraternal Order of Police, Delaware County Lodge No. 27 and several other police organizations.

πŸ‘ Keystone is proud to recognize the Delaware County Paralegal Association and its dedicated volunteers for their continued commitment to professional excellence, education, and community service throughout Pennsylvania.
