Voted one of the best places to raise a family, residents proudly call Media "Everybody's Hometown." Visitors to Media comment on our friendly atmosphere. Media is a place where it is customary to say "hello" as we pass each other on the sidewalk. Every visitor is welcome and new residents are accepted when they plant their roots here. Media is the last suburban town in

America with a trolley running down the main street. Our brick sidewalks and tree-shaded streets encourage walking. Children can walk to any of three elementary schools in the Borough. The centrally located shopping district hosts a variety of stores, restaurants, and services, while the central location of the library, parks, houses of worship, and theater place them all within walking distance for our residents. We are proud of the active participation of our residents in the Borough's many events and welcome volunteers to help us with the tasks which, when done, make Media "Everybody's Hometown." Media Borough Council today announced its intent not to join the proposed regional Emergency Medical Services (EMS) authority, determining that it will be less expensive for residents and the municipal government to remain with current provider Main Line Health in 2027, rather than joining the authority and paying the associated fees. The Council will instead continue its partnership with Main Line Health to maintain advanced life support services within the borough. Council will formally vote on this decision at its September 17, 2026 public meeting.

The decision follows a year-long review by Borough Council of both the proposed regional authority structure and the borough's existing EMS arrangement, weighing cost, service quality and long-term sustainability for residents.

A couple photos from last Tuesday's August Senior Dine Around at the Court Diner! +Don't miss next month: September 15th, at Fellini's!

Senior Dine Around occurs every 3rd Tuesday at noon. Media Recreation coordinates with a different restaurant each month for a delicious 3-course meal at a good value. The Recreation Board also subsidizes a portion of each resident meal.

Tickets are sold online, and also include tip - so the only thing Seniors (and optional guest) need to do is show up & enjoy.

It's always a great time, and something to look forward to each month!
