What we’re looking for
- High school diploma or GED
- U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the United States
- Minimum 18 years old
- 6 months of prior work experience
- Able to pass a background check, and drug screen
- Valid driver’s license
- Great communication skills, team player mindset, and a positive attitude

What you’ll do
- Maintain security and order inside the jail facility
- Monitor inmate activity, conduct headcounts, and enforce facility rules
- Respond to emergencies with calm, de-escalation skills
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and logs
- Operate security gear, surveillance systems, and door controls
- Transport inmates as needed and assist with counts and inspections
- Keep learning with ongoing training and certifications

We’re excited to be part of the 24th Annual Cops ’n Rodders Car Show today at the Medina County Fairgrounds Community Center! Hosted by the Medina County Health Department.

There were classic cars, historic police vehicles, food trucks, and plenty of community fun. Our deputies enjoyed the day, talking with the community, checking out some awesome rides, and helping kick off the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” safety campaign. 👮‍♂️🚗

This very sweet pup was found in the 8700 block of Wadsworth Road in Wadsworth Twp. this weekend. The dog has a red collar on but no tag. A white coupe was seen in the area. No Serious Incidents or Injuries at the Medina County Fairgrounds

Medina County, Ohio — August 8, 2026 — Medina County officials are aware of inaccurate information circulated by an artificial intelligence application that incorrectly identified three simultaneous incidents in the Medina area and reported that they were located at the Medina County Fairgrounds.
There have been no serious incidents at the Medina County Fairgrounds. There are no reported injuries at the fairgrounds, and public safety officials have not identified any emergency situation affecting fairgoers, participants, vendors, or staff at the fairgrounds.

The erroneous report appears to have resulted from an AI-based application misidentifying separate information and incorrectly associating it with the fairgrounds. Officials continue to monitor public safety communications and verify information through established emergency response channels.
Members of the public are encouraged to rely on official sources for emergency information and updates.

“We want to reassure the public that there were no serious incidents and no injuries at the Medina County Fairgrounds,” said Board President Joe Aungst

Thursday at the Medina County Fair proved one thing… a little rain never hurt anybody! 🌦️ (And let’s be honest—it kept the dust down. 😄)

Our deputies were out all day with smiles on their faces, ready to help wherever needed. We love cheering on our incredible outstanding 4-H seniors and watching kids proudly showcase the animals and projects they’ve worked so hard on all year. 🐄🐐🏆

Oh… and we even spotted a unicorn🦄 we’re still waiting on confirmation from the fair board. 😉

The rodeo brought the excitement tonight, and grandstands were buzzing!!! What a show it was! 🤠🐂

And of course, no fair day is complete without a selfie! Tonight’s special guest? Patricia the goat—who may or may not have been the most willing participant 📸🐐

Rain or shine, the Medina County Fair keeps bringing the fun. See you tomorrow!

🎡 Wednesday understood the assignment! 🎡

Another incredible day at the fair, and our deputies were everywhere—on foot, on bike patrol, and always ready to lend a helping hand (or point you to the nearest lemonade stand 😉).

🍦 Kids Night was a sweet success! Thanks to the generous support of Dairy Farmers of America, Inc., the MCPAL Ice Cream Truck handed out more than 2,000 FREE ice cream sandwiches and popsicles! The smiles were endless…and just when we thought it couldn’t get any sweeter, a friendly cow wandered over to say hello. We like to think it came by for a quality check! 🐄😂

Thank you to all our volunteers who helped hand out the ice cream!

🎤 The Neil Diamond tribute band was incredible!! We hope everyone enjoyed the Warren Zeiders concert!!

The exhibit buildings were packed with amazing crafts and projects. Be sure to take a stroll through and see the outstanding talent and hard work from kids and adults alike—you won’t want to miss it!

📸 We doubled up on selfies today! One wasn’t enough, especially after a visit to the Bunny Barn. A huge thank you to Athena and Prince for hopping into the spotlight as our selfie superstars! 🐰❤️
