A joint training exercise on water supply operations was successfully completed by the Gibson, Medina, Milan, and Gibson County Fire Departments, with the Milan Fire Department acting as host for the tanker operations training.

We are grateful for the Milan Fire Department's warm hospitality and recognize the critical role of such training in enhancing our preparedness and efficiency.

This training is fundamental to ensuring our capability to effectively serve the community. By practicing water supply operations and teamwork, we significantly enhance our safety and performance in fireground situations.

On Monday, March 23, 2026, personnel from the City of Medina Fire Department/GCFD Station 8, conducted a comprehensive fire drill.

During the exercise, personnel reviewed updated construction floor plans, deliberated on fire ground operations considerations, and practiced tanker operations.

The department takes pride in serving our community.

The City of Medina Fire Dept. Is excited to announce it's award of $43,740 from the Tennessee Volunteer Fire Equipment and Training (VFEAT) Grant for turnout gear and radios. We are so thankful to our SMFO and Legislators for doubling the amount of available funding from 10 million to 20 million this year.

On 02/09/26, after almost two weeks of extreme winter weather, temperatures, road conditions and no shortage of calls......the snow and ice finally thawed out.

Our personnel reviewed and clean the apparatus and equipment to ensure operational readiness.
