🎉 What a way to celebrate National Breastfeeding Week! 🤱
Our WIC Breastfeeding Team has been honored with the 2026 USDA WIC Breastfeeding Award of Excellence at the Premier Level for Exemplary Breastfeeding Support and Practices!
We are proud to be one of the first two WIC agencies in Ohio history to meet the federal requirements and receive this prestigious national award.
Out of approximately 10,000 WIC Clinics nationwide, our WIC team was one of 44 award winners!
This award recognizes the outstanding support and education our WIC staff provide to families every day. It also reflects the impact and our work of programs and outreach efforts like:
• Newborn Home Visits
• Prenatal breastfeeding education classes
• Mother-to-mother breastfeeding groups
• Breastfeeding booth at the fair
• Community breastfeeding education and outreach
We want to give a very special shoutout to our breastfeeding WIC team who's hard work made this possible

Looking for breastfeeding support?
🤱 Join our Mother-to-Mother Breastfeeding Group, held the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. at the Medina County Health Department.
Expecting a baby?
👶 Our Prenatal Breastfeeding Education Class is held on the third Wednesday of each month from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. at the Health Department to help you get off to a great start.
