๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ” COMMUNITY SUPPORT NEVER TASTED SO GOOD! ๐ŸŒญ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Carr Township Fire Department would like to encourage everyone to stop by and support our neighbors at the Redding Township Fire Department Fourth Annual Pork Burger & Hot Dog Cookout on Friday, June 13th from 5:00โ€“8:00 PM at the Rockford Fire Station!

Nothing brings a community together quite like good food, fellowship, and supporting the volunteers who answer the call when help is needed. Whether youโ€™re craving a pork burger fresh off the grill, a hot dog, or just looking for a great way to spend your Friday evening โ€” this is a great opportunity to support local volunteer firefighters and the communities they serve.

๐Ÿš’ Volunteer fire departments thrive because of community support, and events like this help keep equipment running, training ongoing, and firefighters ready when emergencies happen.

So grab the family, bring your appetite, and help support a fellow volunteer fire department!

We hope to see a great crowd there! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Memorial Day Message from the Carr Township Fire Department ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Memorial Day is more than cookouts, lake trips, and long weekends โ€” itโ€™s a time to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of those who gave everything in defense of our nation.

At Carr Township Fire Department, we are grateful for the service and sacrifice of our fallen heroes and the families who continue to carry their memory every day.

As you spend time with family and friends this weekend, please take a moment to remember the true meaning of Memorial Day.

And from your local firefighters โ€” a few quick holiday safety reminders:

๐Ÿ”ฅ Keep grills away from structures and never leave them unattended.
๐Ÿš— Donโ€™t drink and drive โ€” designate a sober driver.
๐ŸŽ† Leave the fireworks to the professionals whenever possible.
๐Ÿš’ And remember: weโ€™d rather see your vacation photos than your emergency photos.

Thank you to all who have served, and especially to those who never made it home. We will never forget. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ’™ National EMS Week โ€“ Honoring Those Who Answer the Call ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿš‘

This week, Carr Township Volunteer Fire Department would like to recognize and celebrate EMS Week and extend our appreciation to all EMS providers across Jackson County and beyond. Whether you're on an ambulance, fire department, dispatch center, hospital staff, or first responder unit, thank you for the care and dedication you provide every day.

Over the years, we have seen a major shift in emergency response. Like departments across the country, medical calls now make up a growing portion of our annual call volume, and this isn't just a local trend โ€” it's happening at the national level. EMS continues to become a larger part of what fire departments do every single day.

Living in a rural community brings unique challenges. Due to our distance from local hospitals and available resources, it can sometimes take up to 30 minutes for an ambulance to reach patients in our area. Those first few minutes matter. That is why departments like ours play such an important role in the EMS Chain of Survival.

From beginning CPR, controlling bleeding, providing life-saving care, gathering patient information, and stabilizing emergencies before transport arrives โ€” we become the critical link between a medical emergency and definitive care.

When someone calls 911 on what may be the worst day of their life, seconds matter and teamwork matters.

To all EMS professionals and first responders serving Jackson County: thank you for your compassion, sacrifice, and commitment to serving others.

๐Ÿš‘ Because helping people isn't just a job โ€” it's a calling.

๐Ÿš‘โค๏ธ Carr Township Volunteer Fire Department wants to remind our community that YOU have the power to save a life.

When someone suddenly collapses from cardiac arrest, every second matters. Hands-Only CPR can help keep blood flowing to the brain and heart until emergency crews arrive. The best part? You do not need special equipment and you do not need mouth-to-mouth.

Remember these 2 simple steps:

๐Ÿ“ž Call 911
๐Ÿซ€ Push hard and fast in the center of the chest

Hands-Only CPR for teens and adults is simple, effective, and can make the difference between life and death. You are the first responder before first responders arrive.

Take a few minutes to learn this lifesaving skill and encourage your family and friends to do the same.

Because someday, the hands that save a life might be yours. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿš’

๐ŸŒท Happy Motherโ€™s Day from the Carr Township Volunteer Fire Department! ๐ŸŒท

Today, we celebrate all the moms, grandmas, stepmoms, bonus moms, and mother figures who keep our families and communities strong. Whether youโ€™re running the household, cheering from the sidelines, patching up scraped knees, or reminding everyone to โ€œdrive careful,โ€ moms truly are everyday heroes. โค๏ธ

We also want to give a special shoutout to the mothers serving in emergency services and to the spouses and moms supporting our firefighters behind the scenes. Your sacrifice, patience, and support never go unnoticed.

Today is your day โ€” so hopefully someone else is cooking, cleaning, and answering the โ€œMommmmm?โ€ calls for once! ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ˜‚

From all of us at Carr Township Volunteer Fire Department, we wish you a safe, relaxing, and Happy Motherโ€™s Day! ๐ŸŒธ

๐Ÿš‘๐ŸŽ‰ Please join the Carr Township Volunteer Fire Department in congratulating Harlen Jackson on successfully completing his EMT class!

Now itโ€™s time for the next challenge โ€” the National Registry test! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ“š We want to wish Harlen the very best of luck as he takes this important step toward becoming a certified EMT.

We know youโ€™re going to do great, Harlen, and weโ€™re proud to have you on our team! ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿš’ Thank You, Carr Township! โค๏ธ

We just want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported the open house for the addition to the Carr Township V.F.D. station!

From the smiles on the kidsโ€™ faces to the great conversations with our community members, it was a fantastic dayโ€”and it wouldnโ€™t have been the same without YOU. Seeing the community come together like that reminds us exactly why we do what we do.

We also want to give a big shoutout to everyone who helped make the event possibleโ€”whether you lent a hand setting up, helped during the event, or stuck around to clean up. It truly takes a team, and weโ€™re proud to have such a strong one here in Carr Township.

We hope you enjoyed getting a look at the new addition and spending some time with your local firefighters. If you missed it, donโ€™t worryโ€”weโ€™re always here and always happy to connect with our community.

Thank you for your continued supportโ€”weโ€™re honored to serve you! ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿš’

๐Ÿšจ Carr Township Volunteer Fire Department Notice ๐Ÿšจ

Today, we conducted a test of the REACH Alert Notification System to ensure itโ€™s working properly and ready when our community needs it most.

Moving forward, residents can expect a monthly test on the first Friday of each month. These routine checks help us make sure the system remains reliable and ready to deliver important alerts and emergency information when it matters.

If you received todayโ€™s alert โ€” that means itโ€™s working ๐Ÿ‘
If you didnโ€™t โ€” now might be a good time to double-check your registration!

Thank you for helping us keep Carr Township safe, informed, and prepared. ๐Ÿš’
