Oklahoma PCG District Bishop and Wife Indicted After Church Takeover Sparks Embezzlement Investigation
A months-long conflict between the Oklahoma District of the Pentecostal Church of God (PCG) and the former congregation of Living Waters Tabernacle in Meeker has culminated in felony charges against District Bishop Michael J. Hall and his wife, who formerly served as the church secretary during their time pastoring the congregation.
The case, filed October 29 in Lincoln County District Court (CF-2025-00162), alleges embezzlement of church-related funds during their tenure as pastors before their installation as Bishop.
A bench warrant was issued immediately, setting bond at $10,000.
Both Hall and his wife have been charged; neither has yet entered a plea.
The filings follow months of turmoil that began in May, when district leadership removed Pastor Jerry Beeson and assumed control of Living Waters Tabernacle, taking possession of the church’s property and finances.
a church member later issued a public statement titled “A Message from the Heart of Living Waters Tabernacle,” condemning the district’s actions as “overreach” and calling for transparency and restoration.
Investigators with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office submitted a probable-cause affidavit alongside the felony complaint, indicating substantial evidence was reviewed before the charges were approved by Assistant District Attorney Adam R. Panter.
As of publication, Bishop Hall remains in active office, continuing to oversee PCG churches statewide.
The Oklahoma District has not yet released a public statement regarding the charges.
