Happy EMS Week!!! Improving Outcomes, Together!

Today we kick off EMS Week 2026 by recognizing the strength, resilience, and dedication of EMS professionals everywhere. From long shifts to life-saving decisions, our crews show up every day ready to serve their communities.

EMS is built on experience, mentorship, and teamwork. This week is also about reconnecting with the seasoned EMTs and paramedics who helped shape our profession while encouraging and creating the next generation of providers who will carry it forward.

This weekend we had the opportunity to provide EMS standby for Longwood University Graduation. Our crew of mostly volunteers, a paid staff member, and five EMT students spent the day with Longwood staff making sure things went smoothly and that students, guests and community members were well taken care of.

Take time today to check in on yourself and each other. Healthy providers build stronger teams and better patient outcomes.

Thank you to every EMT, paramedic, dispatcher, nurse, firefighter, instructor, student, and healthcare partner who keeps our community safe.
