We have 46 Red Cross cleaning kits left over from the tornado recovery efforts. We do not have room to continue storing them. Comes with everything seen in picture (1 kit). 5 gallon bucket, push broom, squeegee, mop, two handles, sponge, scrub brush, cleaning solution/disinfectant, gloves, and a mask. These are free to anyone who needs/wants them. Please contact Fire ChiefRobert Hartgraves to pick up. We also have a large supply of cardboard boxes that need to be used.

Due to very dry conditions, low humidity levels, elevated winds and with little-to-no rain forecasted in the near future, and therefore causing extremely dangerous conditions, Izard County Judge, Eric Smith has issued a BURN BAN for ALL of Izard County. The BURN BAN went into effect at 11:45am and will remain in effect until a SUFFICIENT amount of rain has fallen.

Movie at the park night to close out our fund raiser for new rope rescue equipment. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this possible. A special Thank You to Modern Woodman of America and Teresa Chetham for partnering with us to make this possible, and a big thank you to Townsend Spice and Supply, Miller Poultry & Cattle, DB Cattle Company, Southern Spark, and Survival Flight for helping with the prize packages for our raffle. Congratulations to our raffle winners Paden Day and Sheila Tate. Also thank you to Joni Knapp and 5K Freeze for setting up at our event. And last but certainly not least, thank you to our auxiliary for the time and effort put into this to make it a success.

Tonight is the Melbourne Firework Show of 2025.
Gates open at 6:00 with Deadwood Grove to start playing at 6:30. Mason Burgers will be served along with snow cones. The Firework show will begin at dark. For safety reasons, we ask that there be no personal fireworks shot inside the fairgrounds.

The Melbourne Fire Department has bottled water in our parking lot at our Station 1 at the corner of Jackson St and Main St for those who are out of water down the Guion road and surrounding areas. There is about a half a pallet. Come get it while supplies last and be mindful of the others in need.
