Providence Connects

Providence Connects Daily Bread, Inc., located in Melbourne, Florida, is changing its name to Providence Connects.

We are a non profit organization walking with our neighbors from surviving to thriving by providing, food, housing, and trusted support. Our mission is to ensure no one faces hunger or homelessness alone. At Daily Bread, our community comes together to share a meal and other resources with our neighbors in need, helping each person move forward and find a home.

From crisis to connection.

Mark came to us in an extremely vulnerable period in his life. After some legal trouble, he was hospitalized for an extended period. Upon his release, he found himself homeless for the first-time.

Through the collaboration of our outreach, pantry, client services, and case management teams, we were able to provide daily living essentials, ongoing support, and coordinate a safe transition to reconnect him with his family in Virginia.

Today, Mark is reunited with his family and moving toward greater stability and hope for the future.

This is the power of compassionate, coordinated care and community working together.

Goal Achieved!
We are absolutely thrilled to share a major milestone for Stephanie, who has officially achieved one of her biggest goals: getting the full dental support she needed to move her life forward! Years of living outdoors caused significant damage to her smile, but today, her appearance reflects the new life she has worked so hard to build.
Milestones like this are a true community effort, and we are incredibly grateful for the collaboration that made this happen. A HUGE thank you to the dental providers who stepped up to care for her:
Dr. Steve Sedaros (Melbourne, FL Oral & Facial Surgeon) – Thank you for your incredible work with Stephanie’s oral surgery!
Dr. Sadesh Kumar & Wickham Dental Care – Thank you for providing her brand-new smile with custom dentures and adjustments for life!
When community resources and dedicated professionals connect, lives truly change.

Sustainability is integral at Providence Connects, and it starts inside our Fresh Choice Pantry. By letting clients choose what they want and need, we reduce waste before food ever leaves our doors. When we have excess food or items past their prime, we ensure every bit of food has a purpose through partnerships with local farms to help feed animals.
Every step supports a more thoughtful, sustainable community—feeding people, animals, and the planet.
