A Quick Note from Kathrine Bischof, Izard County Election Coordinator:
Primaries and runoffs can be a little confusing — and we saw that firsthand during the recent runoff. Quite a few folks showed up at the polls expecting to see candidates who actually won’t appear on the ballot until the November 3, 2026 General Election.
To help you avoid that frustration next time, here are the best ways to stay informed about what’s really on your ballot:
1. Check your personalized sample ballot early on the official Arkansas Secretary of State’s website: https://www.voterview.ar-nova.org/VoterView
(Arkansas Voter View)
This is the most accurate source for seeing exactly which local races and issues will be on your ballot.
2. Watch for the Notice of Election published in your local newspaper before each election.
3. Follow Izard County Official Elections on Facebook → facebook.com/profile.php?id=61583636999189
We always post the sample ballot and/or Notice of Election well in advance so you can see what’s coming.
Important reminder: Many other websites only show state and federal races. If you want to know what your full ballot looks like — including all the local races and issues that affect our county — Arkansas Voter View is the best place to look.

Thank you to everyone who did their civic duty and voted yesterday. Your voice matters! We also appreciate all the poll workers, supervisors, truck driver, polling venues, and courthouse staff. Without all these people, elections wouldn't happen. Thank you!
