We would like to thank everyone who came out yesterday and helped make Coal Miners Day so successful! We had a great day and hope you enjoyed all of the activities! Special thanks to everyone who helped behind the scenes! We couldn’t do it without you!! Mark your calendars for next year…..June 25th and 26th.

We hope you’re enjoying the weekend so far! We have had a slight change in our schedule. The tractor pulls have been cancelled due to unexpected circumstances. We look forward to having them back next year.

One thing that is so special about small towns is we take care of each other, celebrate life's joys, and come together in times of loss. Earlier this year, our community lost Bobbi Hoch suddenly and unexpectedly, and her passing has left a void in the hearts of many. She was taken from us far too soon. In honor of Bobbi, Cleta Noftsger poured her talent, time, and love into creating this special quilt.

The quilt is currently on display at the American Legion Post 632. It will be at the fire station for Coal Miners Day on Saturday, June 27.
Tickets are $10 for 6 tickets.

Tickets purchased help support the fire department while celebrating Bobbi, whose vibrant spirit touched so many lives.

🔥 Vendor Spotlight🔥
Today we are highlighting, a craft vendor and food vendor!

Chosen Sisters -Norman Creations- has designer embroidery, wooden and acrylic earrings, beaded bracelets, engraved necklaces, personalized ornaments, keychains, suncatchers, reusable coloring dolls and a full interactive bead bar.

Ain't No B.S BBQ is local to Melcher-Dallas and will be bringing their smoked brisket and pulled pork along with some sides. If you’ve never had it, you’re in for a treat. They will be in the park Friday, June 26th starting at 5:00 PM.

We are excited to have both of these vendors joining us!

🚒🚒. Coal Miners Day 2026. 🚑🚑

We have so many activities planned!! It’s going to be an incredible weekend!! Here are some highlights!

Friday- We can’t wait to have Capital City Baggers back for the bags tournament. It was a fantastic tournament last year. Want to sign up?? Message their page, Connor Goff, or just show up and register Friday night.

We also have inflatables and carnival games provided by Bill Hunter! The carnival games are new this year and we’re very excited to have Bill join us!

Saturday-
Kick your day off with a 5K 🏃‍♂️🎖️

Then enjoy the annual car show before watching the tractor pulls in the afternoon. 🏎️

Don’t forget to grab lunch at the fire station! 🍽️

MercyOne will be bringing the helicopter.🚁

You can also head over to the Community Center for some bingo sponsored by the Melcher Dallas Lions Club.

We’ll wrap things up at 5:00 PM with the raffle at the fire station. 🎟️

Of course we have lots of great food and craft vendors - more coming about all of them soon!
