Melissa's e-bike and scooter rules cover more than just helmets.

Before your child heads to school, the park, or around the neighborhood, learn where they're allowed to ride, the 10 MPH speed limit on parks and shared-use paths, and other important rules every parent should know.

The traffic signals at SH 121 and Miller Road are currently out. TxDOT is on scene, and temporary stop signs have been placed at the intersection.

Please treat the intersection as a four-way stop, use caution, and expect delays while crews work to resolve the issue.

LABOR DAY CLOSURES

Melissa City Hall, the Melissa Public Library, and other City facilities will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

🗑️ Trash and recycling collection will also be affected. Collection will slide one day later than your normal pickup schedule:

• Monday: No collection
• Tuesday: Monday's route
• Wednesday: Tuesday's route
• Thursday: Wednesday's route
• Friday: Thursday's route
• Saturday: Friday's route

City offices will reopen and normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8.
